This award is given in honor of J.J. Greenberg, z'l, a soul that left this world too early. In life, J.J. was the epitome of an engaged and caring leader, always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart. He created initiatives to appeal to young Jews, advised up-and-coming professionals as they navigated their first jobs, and was a pillar of strength and excellence to all those who knew him. An environmentalist, a feminist, a musician, a son, a friend, and a philanthropist, J.J. inspired and empowered others to see the best in themselves so that they too could actualize change in the Jewish community and beyond.
We are so honored to name this Torat Chayim award after J.J., who even after his passing from this world, still inspires so many people to be the best they can be. And more. Recipients of the award will follow in the footsteps of J.J. and will continue to build on his legacy.
